Milan Fashion Week – A huge debacle
Entertainment & LifestyleFire sparks flew all over Milan’s 2008 Winter/autumn Fashion collection week. “Circus without Sense”, the regular name given to Milan’s Fashion week by Gabbana & Dolce between fears that it is rapidly leaving itself behind London & Paris as the most sought after destination for haute couture network.
This years edition of Italy’s most auspiciuos fashion event, which finished today, saw the must long delays, ugly catfights and chaotic organisation. Top show men and women should their ugly behaviour in this professional environment.
Large number of shows were scheduled and completed in the first week of this event for the fear that all the top fashion editors would leave Milan before the finishing of the fashion week. The original schedule had about 103 catwalks all scheduled to cover over a week plus some days time, which featured different designers and brands that numbered to around 95.
There was a huge jam of catwalks and shows at the very beginning of the week casuing havoc. This was the result of many requests like that of the editor of american Vogue, Anna Wintour, who asked Versace, Dolce & Gabbana and Armani to prepone their shows so that she could get back to america before paris vogue week which beings by next Tuesday.
Adding to the chaos, this rescheduling and shuffling of shows caused the much criticism from big designers like Dolce & Gabbana who claimed that the prestige of Milan Fashion week was at stake and that the future of this event could be disasterous.
Well, lastly, we could only say that besides displaying their vogue talents, these so called “biggies” also showed their true nature of patience.

My last fashion show was actually a wet-tshirt competition at Daytona Beach. Instead of “Circus without Sense” it was “Drunk Girls without Sense”, but hey, it went down a treat….
