Google's "Feedburner" seriously Sucks!

The name Google itself gives you the feeling of highly technical and highly professional service. With Google into nearly every thing starting right from browser to search engine, every service given by it is of highly quality and simple to use. People prefer Google to any other service provider for the same kind of thing. For many, internet is just Google or else nothing! :-)

But one product of Google that seriously sucks is Feed burner, its Feed publishing service. When i say it sucks, it seriously does. Google talks about various conditions for websites to do better in search engine like easy navigation, good content, simple user interface etc. But just look at its own Feed burner? When a new person gets into it, he has no clue what should be done next. Explanation ain’t easy, nor is the surfing. If i want to find out how many active subscribers i have, i got to go through several clicks to get it. That too you don’t get!

If a person wants to see how many subscribers are coming in every hour, there is no way you can find it. you know why? because feed burner only updates subscriber list once in 24 hours, somewhere around 9:00 am GMT. But why? Google’s other services like adsense, adwords, and many more; update their data every few minutes.

seriously Feedburner is the most pathetic tool to be used. Its time Google kick itself in coming up with a proper feed publishing service. A service that would maintain the credibility of Google!

I like the fact that the interface keeps my competitors from figuring out how to do it, Yahoo site explorer is even worse… yahoo fails to tell you that it’s xml is parsed wrong

you have to add a trailing slash to the end of the meta tag string or it won’t work

    As far as Google tools?

You want something FROM Google do you not?

It behooves you to patronize them… don’t bite the hand that feeds you:)
