Robin Slogan: Highest twitter with more than 5 Billion posts

Robin Slogan who is the former Current Media Executive is said to have the highest twitter’s post around 5 billionth tweet. slogan wrote it in the form of an answer to another twitter who only read a part of the reply that is “Oh Lord”.

Gigatweet is a group or otherwise a third party who is counting the number of tweet’s in service. Few users are claiming that it is getting close to 5 billion and they are saying that twitter’s engineers are putting this number up for more than once. And may be more number of test tweets must have been send in early days.

“The Pentagigatweet” is the name given by Slogan to his tweet, has got a lot of importance because the number of URL is actually 5,000,000,000. The reason how we came to find this out is that the end of a tweet’s URL is the current running count of tweets given until that point. A mail has been send to the twitter’s co founder Mr.Biz Stone for still more information about this tweet, Hope he reply’s back.

This sounds strange but the twitter’s 5 billion tweet’s did not come from some huge marketers or some big celebrity company who are trying to provide service since some time now, But it came from a dot-com nerd from San Francisco. Slogan who was the first person to form loyal pack of users, left his gig recently in San Francisco which is only a few blocks away from Twitter’s base in near the neighboring area in the South Market.

Slogan wrote a book “Mr. Penumbra’s Twenty-Four-Hour Book Store,” which he will be funding through Kichstarter, a creative microfinanace site. He is getting more publicity now.

Few people have a opinion that Twitter’s rapid and extensive growth is slowing down. Around $1 billion funds have been raised by the company at a valuation in the neighborhood.

Amazing zoom in on google maps, Just unbelieveable

Well, you would be amazed at this one. Google sure got a new revolution in technology with its maps service. well not exactly revolution in technology, but atleast revolution in getting hands on technology!

With google maps you can see any location, get the directions and know which place is where. But would you believe, at times google maps can give you a real close shot of a place that you can identify the people by their faces and see what they are doing?

Yes its true. In some areas of the world, you can zoom in to such levels that you never imagined. For instance, have a look at the picture below:

Copy Link Text - When you right click a link in Firefox, it shows an option called “Copy Link Location”, which is very handy for copying the URL of a link. Likewise, the Copy Link Text extension adds an option called Copy Link Text. When you right click a link, and select the option, the anchor text of that link is copied to the clipboard. This is a quicker method than selecting the text and then copying, plus it works on sites that block copying normally.
Download Statusbar – Instead of showing a dialog for your downloads, this extension includes downloads conveniently in the Firefox statusbar. ErrorZilla Mod – We have not been using this extension for very long, and do not have a lot of experience with it yet, but what we have seen of it seems quite handy. When a page fails to load in Firefox, ErrorZilla Mod will show options for “Try Again,” “Google Cache,” “Coralize,” “Wayback,” “Ping,” “Trace,” and “Whois”, which can be used to gain access to the page, even with the site down or access information about the site.
Fireshot- The Fireshot extension makes taking a screen shot of a web page a snap. Even if entire page is not visible, Fireshot can still capture the entire page. If you prefer, it can also capture just the visible area of a page. With a single click, Fireshot can capture the page and upload, copy, mail, print, or open the file for editing (in the internal editor or an external editor of choice). The internal editor provides the ability to add shapes, pointers, text, another image, or draw on the image.
Flagfox- The Flagfox extension shows a flag icon for the country in which the current web site is hosted in the statusbar or address bar. A tooltip is provided that also offers the name of the country, in case the flag is not familiar. The extension uses an IP address database rather than relying on the top-level domain. When the flag icon is clicked, GeoTool will be loaded, which provides a location map, as well as information on the ISP, city, IP address, local time, country code, region, postal code, and more.
Highlander- When you click a link to a URL that’s already open in another Firefox tab, the Highlander extension will cause the already opened tab to be focused, rather than duplicating the URL in a new tab.
IE View Lite – The IE View Lite extension provides a context menu item for opening the current page in IE. The extension also has the ability to enter sites that will always open in IE. It can close the tabs for pages being opened in IE automatically, and send any additional parameters to the of the page to the Internet Explorer EXE. As much as we like Firefox, every once in a while, we run into a page that will not work properly in Firefox, which makes this extension handy.
Navigational Sounds – When this extension is enabled, Firefox will play the Windows OS start and end navigation sounds when pages start and finish loading (the “click” from IE when a page navigation begins).
Nightly Tester Tools – We recommend this extension only for those who are experienced or desperate. If you’ve been using Firefox for a while and use a number of extensions, you have no doubt experienced the anguish of an extension no longer working after a Firefox update. Even worse is when the extension’s developer decides not to update it anymore. This extension can be used to force extensions to work with the new Firefox version. Most extensions will work normally with minor Firefox updates (some even work properly after major version upgrades), and you can always disable an extension again if needed. However, we do recommend being careful when using this extension, nonetheless.
Oldbar – For those who dislike the new “AwesomeBar” introduced with Firefox 3, the oldbar extension will cause Firefox to maintain the familiar address bar from earlier versions of Firefox. The browser will still benefit from the enhanced autocomplete algorithm of Firefox 3, but with the appearance of Firefox 2.
OpenBook – The OpenBook Firefox extension provides customization for the Add Bookmark dialog, including the ability to automatically open the bookmarks tree and resize the Add Bookmark dialog.
SearchStatus – The SearchStatus extension provides extensive search-related information about visited web sites, including Google PageRank, Google Category, Alexa popularity ranking, Compete.com ranking, Alexa incoming links, Alexa related links, and backward links from Google, Yahoo, and MSN. The key information is all presented conveniently in one discreet and compact area, with the remaining data available via a right-click. The information displayed is also customizable. But most of these webmasters are not easy to find on internet. I have researched extensively and came out with some very important points that could really turn your site into a SEO site.

First of all the material you find on internet regarding SEO is written or prepared out of experience and not on facts. Its trial and error method that was utilized by many webmasters and then came out with their theories. Google has never revealed the way its search engine works. Nor did any other search engine like Yahoo or MSN for that matter.

Hence, we are left with no option but to rely on information that is most probably accurate, but no one can say its 100% as search engines want it. Go ahead and implement these and see how your site stats increase.

The Positive On-Page SEO factors

Keyword in URL: The process of identification and giving preference goes in First word is best, second is second best, etc.
Keyword in Domain Name: This is similar to the name of pages that have hyphens, for example: “automobile-truck-one”.
Keyword in Title Tag: Make sure you put your Keyword in Title tag that is close to beginning. This title tag should be between 10 – 60 characters with no special characters.
Keyword in Description Meta Tag: This shows the theme of your site and should be less than 200 characters. Though Google no longer “relies” upon this tag, it may sometimes use it.
Keyword in Keyword Meta Tag: This should be less than 10 words. Every word in this tag MUST appear somewhere in the body text. If not, it can be penalized for irrelevance. No single word should appear more than twice. If not, it may be considered spam. Google purportedly no longer uses this tag, but others do.
Keyword density in Body text: The keywords shouldn’t be stuffed into body text. The amount of keywords in the body text should be about 5 – 20% for all types of keywords (total) and 1-6% for one keyword. Too much stuffing would penalize your site under spamming.
Keywords in H1,H2 & H3: Many people ignore this particular aspect. Make sure Hx font is effectively used.
Keyword Font Size: Italics is same as emphasis while strong is same as bold.
Keyword proximity (for 2+ keywords): Placing them directly adjacent to each other is the best.
Keyword prominence: This can be important if its on the top (at the most) and in big fonts.
Domain Name Extension/ Top Level Domain – TL: .gov sites seem to be the highest status, .edu sites seem to be given a high status, .org sites seem to be given a high status, .com sites excel in encompassing all the spam/ crud sites, resulting in the need for the highest scrutiny/ action by Google.
Fresh Pages: search engines love fresh content, fresh pages.
Content: Make sure you put unique and fresh content since search engines feed on it. They simply love it.
Updates periodicity: Search engine give high status to sites that update regularly.
Site Size: Search engines, particularly Google, loves big sites. But it should be unique and fresh site. Any duplicated pages would be discarded by Google.
Domain age: Old is gold, this is the mantra of Google and other search engines.

Page Rank: Make sure your site achieves good page rank. High Page Ranked sites get many benefits, they are treated like VIPs.
Internal links: Internal links should also be well maintained. Ensure that anchor texts use proper keywords.
External Links: Always get linked to quality sites and sites that are trusted by search engines. This will give you high page rank if links are a lot.
