Dell UltraSharp U2410 – A Monitor Loaded with Functions

If all that you are looking for is the great performance and a plenty of useful features at a price that is reasonably done while providing you with a host of connection options and good ergonomic features with a sturdy OSD, then Dell UltraSharp U2410 is the preferred choice.

It is a 24-inch matte black device with a gray highlight passing through the center of the 1.75-inch deep panel, where the rear side of the display has the connection options and the astounding ventilation system that stretches for more 1.5 inches.

The bezel is about 0.75 inches on all the sides of the screen where as the surface has got the smooth matte finish with slightly frosted look.

The footstand of the Dell UltraSharp U2410 measures about 12.3×7.8 in dimensions, and the panel rotates to about 70 degrees both on left and right sides while it tilts at about 25 degrees back.

The U2410 has got a plethora of connection options for video, all at its rear that comprise of a VGA, DisplayPort, an HDMI, 2 DVI ports and also a combination of component and the composite connectors.

One can also see 2 downstream USB ports, 1 upstream USB port, a speaker port and even an audio out port. The arrangement of the buttons is done dynamically and buttons are labeled for the OSD on the screen itself and the calibration of the display can be done even in the darkness.

The Dell UltraSharp U2410 has got a 16:10 aspect ratio with a pixel resolution of 1920×1200 that many users would prefer now a days, but the aspect ratio of 16:9 is also available for movie watching.

The brightness score is found to be around 434 cd/m2 and the movies would look great thanks to its display’s deep black color that merges well with the colors to give an overall natural look to the picture.

The power consumption is relatively cheaper in Dell UtlraSharp U2410 as compared to other models of the Dell. The downside could be its narrow viewing angle when you compare it with other IPS and VA monitors, and the display produces a slight pink tint and its RGB presets try to create a wavering effect when watching the images in dark gray colors.

Priced at $499, this piece from Dell is surely worth buying as it is a fully featured rich monitor which is very movie friendly and performs well while you play games as well.
